I am studying European studies and for my final year I need to do
an internship of around 5/6 months abroad to gain more experience in working
for international organizations.



Since I travelled my whole life, lived in different
countries, I gained a lot of knowledge about cultures, different types of
people and the world in General. My dad has a position at NATO and growing up
in this international environment amplified my interest in diplomacy,
international relations and politics.



Starting next year August/September for my studies I need
to do a 5/6 month internship in the public or private sector. I would like to
discover in greater depth how the international organizations work, learning
more about international cooperation and business which confidently will
enhance my professional experience with international challenges, team work,
negotiating, presenting, working in a multicultural environment and lastly
working in another country. Consequently, being part in making the world a
better place.



Throughout my studies and work experience I have
developed a range of skills that qualify working in an international
environment and being part of a team. My key strengths are public speaking and
leadership abilities. Also being able to communicate and work in an
intercultural environment, speaking different languages and understanding and
being open minded about different cultures. I’m very creative, ambitious,
always coming up with new ideas and enjoying to work in teams achieving a
common goal.



My main interest lies in working for an international
organization in Geneva. Geneva really captured my attention since it has such a
multicultural atmosphere. I am open to any challenges that come along with the
profession.

name is Tess, currently living in the Netherlands. I
travelled my whole life to many different countries, places and school´s
because of my father’s job which led me to specialize in cultural communication
as well as language. I also became a fluent speaker in English by attending an
International school. My increased desire for travelling, learning new things
about globalization, meeting new people and cultures, have augmented my
curiosity about negotiating, politics, international relations and cultural communications.
Next to my educational studies, my work experience has helped me to develop
